round midnight

Room on FireOK. At first, I thought What's the big deal? Who are these Strokes and why are women swooning over them? So. Now I know. I heard a song on the radio a while ago and I thought, The Ramones, New York Dolls, Velvet Underground, hell, even Jesus and Mary Chain redux. But I admit it was catchy and remenisc-y and thought no more of it. Then, round midnight last night, I popped in the Room on Fire CD, after receiving it in the mail from my sister. Short, sweet, been spinning it since. Oh, and that Fab guy - is rather fabulous I think!

ocho-ocho redux

It's been a long strange trip. Yes, indeed. December was a flurry of things that had to be done, that needed to be done yesterday and today. In between a husband and child moving eastward and a huge upcoming tradeshow that is currently in full swing, the blog withered and was forlorn.

Then of course there was Christmas and I opted to make it a true Christmas where I took the whole two weeks off until after the New Year. So I would have had time, but sick was the word, then a wake and funeral came about, and that was that. In the midst of it all, Dylan does the Ocho-Ocho and sings Parokya's Mr. Suabe, hay, hay, hay; at least we were entertained. Also, he now knows that one will "Need money to buy toys", as he succinctly put to me last week.
