35

As always, the first week of the year begins with celebration and ends with one on my birthday. This year, I fall in the next age bracket, lumped with the 35-60 on surveys and demographic studies. I've finally caught up to my parents and on paper, looking at it makes me wince and feel all creaky and riddled with imaginary ailments.

But nevermind the aging process, it's all in how you feel, thus, I feel...somewhat groggy after a few martinis, some oyster shots and a Laotion Comotion courtesy of Jeremy at the Venetian's Aquaknox oyster bar and Todd and Marie who helped me celebrate after a long walk through CES 2006.

Fresh oysters, lobster, shrimp, and crab!
I was never a fan of oysters (euch!), but being 35 makes one braver and it was so good with sake and tabasco - now imagine that as a shot!

new beginning

Here we go. I hope this one will be better than the last, less stress, more accomplishiments, less procrastination and more planning. 2005 was a real tough one and it ended with Dylan getting really ill on the last day of the year and having to stay in bed with 103°F fever; having woken up only momentarily by the sound of fireworks going off at midnight. The champagne is still in the fridge, but it can only mean that it's meant to be popped open for another celebration sometime this year. Happy New Year to all!
